Neither Lack of Gear Nor COVID Keeps These TN Girls From Kabaddi | The Quint

रोजी प्रकाशित केले 13 नोव्हेंबर, 2020
Thirty-year-old Sathish Kumar is training young girls of 6-13 years of age living in fishing hamlets in Koovathur, in kabaddi. Due to the lack of funds to compete, they had dropped out of school owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this has not robbed them of their fighting spirit and passion for the sport. This Diwali, your donations can help the girls go back to school, participate in competitions, and help Sathish build a sports academy to train girls.

  • That's the fucking prblm in this country ...sports are also divided according to your gender ...i had also quit kabbadi just because it's not a sports made for girls ... I still freakout by thinking about my dreams ...I wish other girls in this country take kabaddi to another level ...and it's not only about parents and society even schools don't want to sent girls for kabaddi tournaments,by thinking waste of fund...

  • I wish that Bollywood hired Indian women with dark brown skin like the girl at 0:08 . They are treated the worst in India just because of their color.

    • @A J it isn't completely true but isn't completely false either, by that logic all South Indian Hindus would have been Sudras, however you find a lot of dark skinned Brahmins here(I'm a Banglorian),the thing is Hinduism was a religion initially practiced by Indo aryans, however it was accepted later by Dravidians as well during it's spread, that's the reason finding an extremely white person/fully Caucasian person is a rarity even in North India as a common religion lead to interbreeding between both dark skinned Dravidians and light skinned Aryans there were people who didn't accept Hindu culture and most of them happened to be from the Dravidian clan and hence most of the Sudras are dark skinned,it has more to do with religion than with race

    • @Jay Yadav India has history which enslaved the dark brown/ black skin Dravidians for 4,000 years under the racist caste system.

    • @Jay Yadav yeah for example in America and Europe being tanned is beautiful. That’s why so many foreigners in Goa. But in Indians it’s opposite. That’s why India has so many beauty parlors

    • @Jay Yadav you have valid theory

    • @apoorv lawande Indians don't kill black people and don't have a history of slave trade,Indians just believe fair/white people are prettier

  • They should be given a chance

  • I love seeing brown skin Indian girls like these. They are treated like trash just because of their skin color
